Latest release of Applied Policy Works further connects and automates the commercial lines workflow
Mississauga, ON – December 7, 2021 – Applied Systems® today announced the general release of Applied Policy Works 2022. Continuing Applied’s focus and investment in automating the Commercial Lines workflow, the latest release of Applied Policy Works aligns with CSIO’s small Commercial Lines standards to enable brokers to build faster, more accurate submissions. Additionally, this release further integrates the Commercial Lines policy lifecycle across the Applied portfolio, delivers new growth opportunities through the addition of Cyber coverage, and enables underwriting brokers and MGAs to manage policy transactions completely in-house.
Key enhancements include:
- Applied Epic Integration: Brokers can attach PDFs from Applied Policy Works to customer accounts in Applied Epic, including certificates of insurance and proposals, allowing brokers to provide customers access to their documents via their self-service portal. This integration enables brokers to control access from Applied Epic to distinguish the customer experience between personal and commercial lines.
- Cyber Coverage: Standardized fields for cyber coverages have been added to enable brokers to more quickly market and submit, fueling new growth opportunities for the broker channel.
- Dynamic Underwriting Questions: Retail and Business & Professional Industry segments have additional underwriting questions dynamically generated based on the IBC code, enabling brokers to quickly create and submit more accurate submissions to insurers.
- Issuance Enhancements: Underwriting brokers and MGAs can easily create multiple issuance quotes for one prospect policy and group them together, allowing the broker/MGA to manage the entire transaction in-house.
“In collaboration with CSIO, Applied is committed to providing brokers with straight-through processing, creating the CSIO minimum data set and extending data-driven processes throughout the Applied commercial lines portfolio,” said Steve Whitelaw, vice president & general manager, Applied Systems. “The latest release of Applied Policy Works furthers this initiative by deepening integrated workflows with Applied Epic and enabling simpler submissions, improving efficiency and profitability for all stakeholders, and delivering the high level of service that customers expect.”
